Poroshenko: Ukraine election set for October 26

Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has claimed that the presidential election in the country could be held on October 26.

Axar.az reports that he said this in an interview with the "Sensor" publication.

Poroshenko noted that information about this was disseminated from sources in the Office of the President of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies.

"Note: October 26 of this year...", - he said.

According to the former president, the current government is preparing everything in such a way that it will remain unopposed in the election:

"And to return to power by destroying democracy, freedom, and transparency of the election. Because they are afraid of leaving power."
