On February 19, Yemen's Houthis fired surface-to-air missiles at a U.S. F-16 fighter jet for the first time.

Axar.az informs that Fox News reported this information, citing three senior U.S. officials.

The missile was launched while the aircraft was flying over the Yemeni coast but missed its target.

Senior military leaders believe it is only a matter of time before the Houthis inflict potential damage on U.S. Navy ships, aircraft carriers, and destroyers in the Red Sea.
