US mediates Israel-Lebanon border deal

US Deputy Special Envoy for the Middle East Morgan Ortagus announced the agreement reached to resolve border issues between Israel and Lebanon.

Axar.az informs that the diplomat said this in an interview with the Al Jadeed TV channel.

She said that Washington would act as a mediator between the parties.

"Israel and Lebanon have agreed to begin negotiations under the auspices of the United States to resolve their differences regarding their land borders. We have established working groups to resolve the remaining issues," Ortagus added.
