The Palestinian Hamas movement has announced the start of a new round of ceasefire talks in the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az informs that this was stated in a statement by the movement's representative, Abdel Rahman Shadid, published on the Hamas Telegram channel.

He said that a new round of ceasefire talks in Gaza has begun, and Hamas will approach them with full responsibility.

"We hope that these consultations will lead to significant progress in the issue of starting full-fledged negotiations on the second phase of the agreement," Shadid stressed.
