Syria's transition over the last 3-5 years

The transition period in Syria could last from three to five years.

Axar.az informs that Al-Jazeera channel reported this.

The source said that according to the draft constitutional declaration of Syria, the country is likely to become a presidential republic:

“The declaration states that the country's legislation will be based on the principles of Islamic law. The main task of the national army will be to protect the homeland and Syrian citizens, as well as civil peace in the country. The right to own weapons will belong only to state officials.”
