The defense ministers of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland met in Paris on Wednesday and pledged to take concrete steps to strengthen European defense and provide security guarantees to Ukraine.

Axar.az informs that, according to the report, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustam Umerov has been invited to the first meeting. The second meeting will be devoted to increasing Europe's defense potential.

"By deepening our defense cooperation, increasing spending and strengthening our collective strength, we are sending a clear message: we will not hesitate to stand by Ukraine and defend our shared values," said British Defense Secretary John Healy.

The talks focused on support for Ukraine and security guarantees for a future peace agreement, including the potential deployment of European peacekeepers.
