US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House, assessed Russian leader Vladimir Putin's statement on the ceasefire in Ukraine.

Axar.az informs that Reuters reported on this.

Trump said that Putin made a very encouraging statement, but it was incomplete.

He noted that he was ready to talk to the Russian president to achieve a ceasefire:

"I hope that Russia will take the right step."

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, March 13, at a press conference after talks with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, that Russia agrees with the proposal to stop military operations, but this must lead to long-term peace.
