NATO's research group is investigating potential catastrophic scenarios for the military alliance in the future. Among these scenarios, the possibility of a Russian attack is also being considered.

Axar.az reports that Business Insider has written about this.

"We are investigating whether something has changed, whether it is moving in a different direction than expected or assumed," said Florence Gaub, Director of the Research Division at NATO Defense College.

The scenarios currently under investigation are as follows:

- The possibility of a nuclear warhead explosion in space;
- Panic caused by speculations about biological weapons analyzing DNA;
- The risk of war between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile River;
- Russia's use of acoustic weapons against peacekeeping forces deployed in Ukraine;
- A test of NATO launching a missile strike on one of the member countries located on the Black Sea coast.
