The tornadoes' death toll in the US has risen to 35

The death toll from powerful winds and tornadoes sweeping through the central and southern U.S. states has risen to 35.

Axar.az reports that fatalities have been recorded in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. The storm caused severe damage, destroying roads, toppling power lines, uprooting trees, and damaging homes. Nearly 200,000 people have been left without electricity.

The severe weather, which began on March 14, is now moving eastward, putting more than 50 million people from Florida to Pennsylvania.
