Leyen: EU must strengthen defense by 2030

The European Union must have a strong defense posture by 2030 and society must start acting now to achieve this.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen.

"Europe must have a strong defense posture by 2030. But we must act now to be ready for 2030," she said.

Von der Leyen confirmed her intention to present a European defense strategy on Wednesday.
