Alexander Lukashenko will officially be sworn into office as president of Belarus next week.
Axar.az informs BelTA reported this citing information from the country's Central Elections Commission.
"The inauguration ceremony of Alexander Lukashenko, who was reelected as president of the Republic of Belarus, will take place on March 25," publication noted.
Under the Belarusian constitution, the presidential oath of office is taken in the presence of members of the Belarusian People's Assembly presidium, members of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic and judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts at a solemn ceremony held no later than two months after the election date.
It should be noted that the presidential elections in Belarus were held on January 26. According to the Central Election Commission’s confirmed results, the incumbent president, Alexander Lukashenko, won 86.82% of the vote and was re-elected.
