While the Trump administration is working on a deal that could be more favorable for Kyiv to end the war in Ukraine, European nations are focusing on their military capabilities for the first time in years.

Axar.az informs that CNN reported this development.

The report highlighted that this shift is particularly evident in Germany:

"Future Chancellor Friedrich Merz has decided that it is time to invest in the German military at an unprecedented level since the Cold War."

The publication also noted that Germany has undertaken major constitutional reforms to loosen debt restrictions, unlocking billions of euros in funding, which could significantly boost military spending in the coming years.
