It is reported that in the past few days, the Israeli Defense Forces and Shin Bet have struck terrorist targets and militants across the Gaza Strip with the aim of weakening Hamas's military capabilities and eliminating threats to the Jewish state and its military personnel. During these airstrikes, Ahmad Shumali, the deputy commander of the Gaza Brigade, was killed. Shumali was responsible for operations, planning attack strategies, and organizing brigade forces during Hamas’s preparation for the combat operations on October 7, 2023, as well as the deployment of Gaza Brigade forces during the war.
The commander of the "Shujaiya" battalion, Jamil Wadiyan, was also killed. Wadiyan was involved in the anti-tank rocket attack on a school bus in April 2011, which resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy.
