A "United Airlines" plane flying from Los Angeles to China had to return after one of the pilots was found to be without a passport.

Axar.az, citing CNN, informs that the airline's representatives reported the incident.

The Boeing 787 took off from Los Angeles Airport on Saturday. There were 257 passengers and 13 crew members on board, and the plane was heading to Shanghai over the Pacific Ocean.

However, two hours after takeoff, it was discovered that one of the pilots had forgotten his passport. The plane turned back and headed to San Francisco. Passengers were then transferred to a replacement plane. Meal vouchers were provided to passengers, and compensation was offered for the inconvenience.
