U.S. and Russia discuss Black Sea shipping security

The presidents of Russia and the United States have been informed about the results of the negotiations held in Saudi Arabia.

Axar.az reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this in an interview with "Channel One."

According to him, the U.S. and Russia discussed the security of shipping in the Black Sea during the talks in Riyadh:

"Russia supports the restoration of the Black Sea initiative but in a more acceptable format for all. Moscow insists that the new peace initiative should be unambiguous and that Russia should have clear guarantees."

S. Lavrov believes that Moscow wants to ensure that no one tries to push it out of the grain and fertilizer market.
