Russia is trying to impose its conditions, but these conditions are unrealistic. Lifting sanctions against Russia now would be a disaster for diplomacy.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in Paris at a meeting of leaders in support of Ukraine.

"Sanctions are one of the few real tools the world has to convince Russia to engage in serious negotiations. What else is there besides sanctions? If the sanctions are weakened and Russia violates the agreement, the process of lifting sanctions will be incredibly slow and difficult," Zelensky noted.
