A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea, the world's second-largest island.

Axar.az informs that the US Geological Survey reported this.

A tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

According to preliminary information, no loss of life was recorded in the earthquake.
