At least 184 people, including former MLB players Octavio Dotel and Tony Blanco, were killed when the roof of the iconic Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, collapsed early Tuesday during a live performance.

Axar.az, citing CNN, reports that over 300 people were inside the venue, and rescue efforts have ended after recovering more than 20 additional bodies.

Dozens remain injured or unaccounted for. The cause of the collapse remains unknown.

The tragedy, among the worst in the nation’s history, prompted President Luis Abinader to declare three days of mourning. International rescue teams joined local efforts, and emotional scenes unfolded as families searched for loved ones.
