EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas and European Council President Antonio Costa stated the Russian attack on the center of Sum this morning, which killed at least 34 people.

Axar.az reports that the EU leaders wrote about this on their X social network page.

Kallas noted that she was "deeply saddened" by the images taken from Sum this morning:

"A terrible example of Russia's escalation of attacks while Ukraine has accepted an unconditional ceasefire... My thoughts are with the Ukrainian people today".

Costa expressed outrage at the criminal missile attack by Russia on the center of the city of Sum:

"Russia continues its campaign of violence, which demonstrates once again that this war exists and continues only because Russia has decided to do so. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and all those affected by yet another brutal act of aggression".

It should be noted that, according to current information, 34 people have been killed and 117 injured as a result of the missile strikes launched by Russia on the city of Sum this morning.
