Turkiye has taken action to rebuild the villages and towns in the Turkmen Mountain (Bayirbucak) region of Syria, which was devastated by the bombings of the Assad regime, Iran, and Russia.
Axar.az informs Turkish media has reported that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has instructed Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Murad Kurum to investigate the matter, and a group of representatives has been sent to the region for this purpose. The rebuilding efforts will be overseen by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ).
It’s worth noting that in 2015, the Turkmen Mountain was largely taken over following heavy bombardments by Russia and groups backed by Iran. One of the leaders of the terrorist groups responsible for the occupation, Mihrac Ural, had said at the time, 'We avenged 650 years.'"
Before the occupation, more than 200,000 Turkmen lived in the region.
