An explosion occurred in the Kirzhach district of the Vladimir region of Russia, and a state of emergency has been declared in the area.

Axar.az informs, citing Russian media, that the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations published information about this.

"An explosion occurred in the Kirzhach district. Responsible agencies are working at the scene. Detailed information will be provided later," the governor of the region, Alexander Avdeyev, said on the Telegram channel.

The head of the Kirzhach district of the Vladimir region, Elena Karpova, noted that all rapid response forces have been involved in the incident.

Residents are being evacuated from the settlements of Barsovo and Mirny in the Kirzhach district.

The fire that broke out on the territory of the military unit resulted from the explosion of ammunition stored in the warehouse.

This was stated in the statement of the Ministry of Defense.

The cause of the fire was indicated as a violation of safety requirements when working with explosive materials.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.
