The three-day truce announced by Putin for the anniversary of the victory in World War II is something different, and definitely insufficient. And the peace must be just and lasting.
Axar.az reports this was stated by Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
"We now support Trump’s efforts, and we are pleased that Zelensky has expressed willingness for an unconditional ceasefire, showing that Ukraine also wants peace. Now, it’s Russia that must prove the same. Because the three-day truce announced by Putin for the anniversary of the victory in World War II is something different, and definitely insufficient. And the peace must be just and lasting. This means, above all, strong security guarantees. Italy has long made its proposal: a solution inspired by Article 5 of the Washington Treaty, even outside of the NATO Treaty," she noted.
