Gaza hostage release deal reached

Indirect talks on the settlement of the situation in the Gaza Strip have resulted in an agreement to release Israeli hostages held in the enclave by Palestinian factions next month.

Axar.az reports that there was an agreement in principle to release Israeli hostages, including US citizen Eden Alexander, in May.

It was also noted that consultations on this issue between Egyptian mediators, Hamas, and Israeli representatives will continue in the coming days.
