6.2 quake near New Zealand

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of New Zealand.

Axar.az informs that the US Geological Survey has reported this.

It was reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 301 km southwest of the city of Invercargill, which has a population of about 57 thousand, and its focus was located at a depth of 10 km.

There were no reports of injuries or damage. A tsunami threat has not been announced.
