Israel has requested assistance from 13 countries to extinguish forest fires near Jerusalem today.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan is among those countries.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that he spoke with his colleagues from Azerbaijan, Argentina, Great Britain, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal, North Macedonia, France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Sweden and asked them for air support to extinguish the forest fires.

It should be noted that forest fires broke out west of Jerusalem this morning.
