Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory letter to the new Pope Leo XIV.

Axar.az informs that this was reported on the Kremlin website.

In his congratulatory letter, Putin expressed confidence in the constructive development of the dialogue between Russia and the Vatican, which existed during the previous pontiff's reign.

The Russian President wished Leo XIV success in fulfilling the high mission entrusted to him, including good health and prosperity.
