I was pleased with the "great leader" statement made by US President Donald Trump about me.

Axar.az reports that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said this at a joint press conference with the new German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz.

"I love compliments. I think I had a good dialogue with President Trump on the phone and at the Pope's funeral. But what is important for me is that if I go to the White House, there is a package (on EU-US relations - ed.) that we can discuss. So I want to be concrete and have a solution that we can both agree on. That is our goal right now," Leyen added.
