Mertz: Turkiye vital to NATO

Turkiye protects a strategically important territory in the NATO region that cannot be ignored.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the new Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Mertz.

“For this reason, Turkiye is an extremely valuable and important NATO partner for us. I will do my best to protect and further expand this partnership with Turkiye within the framework of NATO,” the Chancellor added.

F. Mertz finally stated that he would soon visit Turkiye at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
