Turkiye is moving resolutely towards its goal of completely removing the issue of terrorism from the country's agenda. Today, a critical stage on the path to a "Turkiye without terrorism" has been left behind.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this after a government meeting in Ankara.

The Turkish leader expressed his hope that a new page would be opened after the decision to disband the PKK:

"The terrorists have declared that they will lay down their weapons. We consider this decision important. A new page will be opened after the terrorist organization is eliminated. A fatal blow will be dealt to the imperialists' plans. The winner will be Turkiye and the Turkish people."

Erdogan stated that Turkish state institutions, including special services, will closely monitor the progress of this process.

It should be noted that the PKK terrorist organization has announced that it has disbanded.
