Russia-Ukraine talks set for May 16

The Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul have been moved to the second half of the day.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

She said the change was made at the initiative of the Turkish side.

Earlier, it was announced that the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul would begin at 11:00 Baku time.

The Ukrainian delegation is represented by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, and his two deputies. The Russian side is represented by Kremlin aide Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Chief of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Igor Kostyukov, and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul have not started, and there is currently no agreement on when they will begin. Kyiv has not yet presented its position.
