Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan - Commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel General Hikmet Mirzayev, met with a delegation led by the Commander of the First Army of the Turkish Ground Forces, Army General Metin Tokel, who is visiting the country.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was held on the current state of cooperation with Turkiye in the military field and its further expansion in the future.

The parties emphasized the importance of joint exercises conducted with the application of modern technological innovations in order to improve the knowledge and skills of the military personnel of both brotherly countries, and discussed a number of other issues of interest.

The Turkish delegation also visited the War Games Center of the Military Scientific Research Institute of the National Defense University as part of the visit. Briefings were presented at the meeting organized at the center, and extensive discussions were held to exchange mutual experience.
