Russia swapped 307 prisoners of war with Ukraine

A prisoner exchange has taken place based on the Russia-Ukraine agreements reached in Istanbul on May 16.

Axar.az reports according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russia and Ukraine have swapped 307 prisoners of war with each other.

"Currently, the Russian servicemen are on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance. All Russian personnel will be transferred to medical facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense for treatment and rehabilitation. The exchange process will continue," the statement emphasized.

It should be noted that the exchange is being carried out based on the "1000 for 1000" principle.
