Another confrontation has broken out between Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Axar.az reports that the information was written by the influential British publication The Times.
It was noted that Klitschko accuses Zelensky of working with authoritarian methods.
According to him, the activities of the Kyiv City Council have been paralyzed due to raids, interrogations, and criminal cases initiated on the orders of the president.
According to the mayor, many city leaders are also facing serious pressure.
“This is the elimination of democratic institutions and principles under the guise of war. I once said that the country smells of authoritarianism. Now it already stinks,” Klychko said harshly.
The publication writes that Klitschko, who was previously a professional heavyweight boxer, is now fighting for political power. It was noted that President Zelensky is trying to limit his powers and concentrate control in his hands.
Recall that some time ago, Klychko also accused the Ukrainian authorities of spying on officials of the Kyiv administration.
