Former French President Hospitalized

A lung infection has forced former French President Jacques Chirac to seek treatment in a Paris hospital.

The 83-year-old was brought to the clinic after his return from a trip to Morocco and is expected to stay there for several days.

The conservative politician, who was president from 1995 to 2007, has suffered from severe memory problems and is seldom seen in public. He experienced a stroke in 2005.
