On February 24 of this year, the UN adopted a scandalous resolution, authored by the United States, coinciding with the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It consisted only of amorphous calls for peace, without specifying who the aggressor was or who the victim was. Now it has become known that American diplomats agreed on the text of this resolution with the Russians. Moreover, they did it secretly from their European allies.

Axar.az reports citing "Le Monde".

The publication recalled the entire history of the West's helplessness in the face of Russia's invasion of Ukraine:

"In 2014, former US President Barack Obama advised the newly formed revolutionary government in Kiev not to resist the Russians in Crimea, because no one was going to help the Ukrainians with weapons. Former President Joe Biden was also hesitant to provide more assistance in 2022-24, fearing escalation, and then Donald Trump took over the White House. He promised to resolve the Ukrainian conflict within 24 hours, and the way he did it stunned Europeans: Trump aligned himself with Russia, which refused to call itself an invader; he blamed Ukraine for starting the war and called Zelensky a dictator. One of the elements of this new policy of Washington was a scandalous resolution at the UN. The initial plan was to present a resolution on Ukraine, which would be voted on by Europeans, Americans, and most countries of the world on the anniversary of the large-scale invasion. However, a few days before the vote, the US Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to the UN, Dorothy Shea, told French UN Ambassador Nicolas de Rivière and his British counterpart Barbara Woodward that the United States wanted Ukraine to withdraw its draft resolution because it was considering submitting its own. "Washington expected Europe to support the American resolution."
