The U.S. is preparing to authorize the transfer of B-2 stealth bombers and GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs to Israel if Iran resumes its nuclear weapons program, under a new bipartisan bill called the Bunker Buster Act.

Axar.az, citing The New York Post, reports that this act, which was proposed by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Mike Lawler (R-NY), the bill would empower President Trump to equip Israel for any scenario involving Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

The lawmakers emphasized that Iran, as a major sponsor of terrorism, must never acquire nuclear weapons, and Israel must be ready to defend itself.

Last month, U.S. B-2 bombers conducted a major strike on Iran’s nuclear sites, using 14 bunker-buster bombs to destroy underground facilities. Trump claimed the operation “totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program.
