A new TV channel, Mira TV, has launched in the U.S. to help Azerbaijani newcomers integrate into society.

Axar.az reports the channel’s founder, Tofig Aghayev, shared more about the initiative:

"Azerbaijanis here mostly get their news from social media. Since many aren’t fully fluent in English yet, they struggle with an information gap and miss out on political, social, and cultural events. There’s a real need for Azerbaijani-language programs, which is why we started this channel in the U.S.," he said.

He also noted that viewers will be able to join live broadcasts and get their questions answered.
