French authorities have indicted three men for their alleged role in supplying the gun used in a deadly attack at a Strasbourg Christmas market in December, AFP reports.

Axar.az reports citing Politica that, the three suspects, members of the same family ranging in age from 32 to 78, were charged Friday and are in custody, according to judicial sources cited by AFP.

Chérif Chekatt opened fire at the Christmas market, killing five people and wounding 11 others. Chekatt yelled “Allahu Akbar” (“God is greatest” in Arabic) during the attack and was reportedly radicalized in prison. He was killed by French police after a two-day manhunt.

The attack occurred while members of the European Parliament were in town for a plenary session.

The three men, who allegedly supplied Chekatt with the 8mm pistol used in the attack, have been charged with “possession and transfer of a category B weapon in relation to a criminal terrorist enterprise” and for “conspiracy with terrorist criminals,” according to the AFP sources.

They were apprehended in eastern France earlier this week, along with two other people, who have since been released by authorities. The men have been transferred from Strasbourg to counterterrorism facilities in Levallois-Perret, near Paris, according to Le Monde.
