A 5.7-magnitude earthquake was registered in the Moluccan Sea near the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.

The epicenter of the disaster was located 131 km east of the city of Bitung (about 138,000 residents) in the North Sulawesi province. The center of earthquake shocks was located at a depth of 60 km. No victims or damage were reported. No tsunami warning was declared.
