An earthquake has shaken the Croatian capital, Zagreb.

Axar.az informs that, this information was spread by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The magnitude of the quake was 5.3. The quake was recorded at 05:24 local time. The epicenter was located 7 kilometers from Zagreb.

One person died as a result of the earthquake.

In addition, the facades of churches and historic buildings collapsed.

Pieces of stone fell from the buildings on the sidewalk, on cars parked on the side of the road.

The natural disaster caused serious material damage to the city.
