The death toll has risen to 11 after an ice sheet broke off from the Punta Rocca glacier on the Marmolada peak of the Italian Alps and collapsed on the mountain climbers.

Axar.az reports that during the search and rescue operations, the body of one more person was removed from under the avalanche. With that, the bodies of all those who went missing as a result of the incident were removed from under the avalanche.

It should be recalled that on July 3, as a result of the melting of the Punta Rocca glacier, a large sheet of ice fell on the climbers on the mountain, 11 people died, 8 were injured, and 8 of the missing were found alive.
