Several buildings collapsed as a result of a gas explosion in Karkac village of Tabriz.

Axar.az reports that according to the preliminary information provided by the East Azerbaijan Province Emergency Department, 6 people were injured as a result of the explosion.

Investigations are ongoing.

2 people died and 6 people were injured in the explosion in Tabriz city.

The general director of the Tabriz Municipal Fire Protection Department said:

"2 people died and 6 were injured as a result of an explosion at a house in Karkaj city of Tabriz. As a result of the explosion, 4 houses were destroyed and 3 cars were damaged. The cause of the incident is being investigated."
