Axar.az reports that the incident was recorded in one of the five-story buildings located in the city.

Officers of law enforcement agencies, firefighters and emergency medical teams were involved in the incident.

According to witnesses, the explosion was so strong that its sound was heard even in the suburbs.

Search and rescue operations are underway in the building where the explosion took place in Bilasuvar.

According to information, the incident took place on the top floor of a five-story residential building on H. Aliyev avenue of the city.

The building was damaged as a result of the explosion. According to preliminary information, two injured people were taken to the hospital.

G. Aliyeva and her son Y. Aliyev were pulled out from under the debris in the Bilasuvar explosion.

They were placed in intensive care unit of Bilasuvar Central Hospital in serious condition.

Currently, the search and rescue operation is ongoing.
