A tragic incident occurred a few days ago at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan.

Axar.az informs that the "Hraparak" publication reported this news.

It was stated that employees of the State Revenue Committee’s Customs Service noticed a passenger flying from Brazil to Armenia holding a bottle and asked what it contained. The Brazilian answered “wine,” but instead of checking the contents of the bottle, Armenian customs officials forced the Brazilian to drink from it. After the passenger complied, his condition suddenly worsened, and he died a few minutes later.

It was revealed that the bottle contained a narcotic substance.

The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed the fact and reported that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 1 of the Criminal Code for "murder."
