Accident kills two crew members on Russian vessel

Two crew members of the cargo ship "Navis 2," sailing under the Russian flag, died as a result of an accident on board.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by the "Sabah" newspaper.

The incident occurred on Friday while the ship was anchored in the Bandırma Gulf in the northwest of the country. It is suspected that Konstantin Martynov and Dmitry Mochalov were poisoned by gas in the storage area. The sailors' bodies were taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution.

According to the company providing agency services to the ship, the sailors died after falling into one of the deck hatches. Regarding the gas poisoning version, as the company noted, there is no precise conclusion yet.

The newspaper mentions that after the forensic examination is completed, the bodies will be sent to Russia.
