Russian aircraft disappears in Kamchatka region

An An-2 commercial aircraft on the Milkovo-Ossora route in Russia's Kamchatka region has disappeared in the northern part of the peninsula.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the region's Minister of Emergency Situations Sergey Lebedev.

Initial reports indicate that there were three crew members aboard the aircraft:

"At 4:45 AM Moscow time, a signal was received indicating that the emergency landing system on board was activated at an altitude of 700 meters. The nearest settlement to the site is the village of Klyuchi, located 80 kilometers to the south-southeast."

It is noted that a Mi-8 helicopter with three rescuers from the village of Tiligiki has been dispatched for the search, and an additional ten specialists have been sent from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and district units.
