A delegation led by Richard Rasi, Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia, visited Khankendi on May 15.
Axar.az informs according to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, the delegation viewed large-scale construction, restoration, and reconstruction work underway in Khankendi.
The guests were briefed on infrastructure projects, the renovation of residential areas, the restoration of social facilities, and the city’s ongoing development based on its modern master plan.
The delegation also visited Victory Park, one of the city’s landmarks, where they were informed about its significance as a symbol of Azerbaijan’s historic victory.
They later toured Karabakh University, where they inspected modern facilities including classrooms, the library, and laboratories. During a meeting with rector Shahin Bayramov, they were briefed on the university’s activities, international cooperation opportunities, and efforts to train highly qualified specialists in the region.
The discussions also highlighted how the reconstruction and development of Karabakh is contributing to the education sector.
