A meeting was held at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education with a delegation from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture of Ukraine, which is visiting the country to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.

Axar.az reports, according to the Ministry of Science and Education, during the meeting, Rector of the university Oleksii Dniprov stated that, by the decision of the Academic Council of the higher education institution, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had been awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.

The rector noted that the head of state was awarded this high title for his contributions to the development of modern education, science, and urban planning in Azerbaijan, as well as for his efforts to strengthen Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations. The Honorary Doctor diploma was presented by Rector Oleksii Dniprov to the Deputy Minister of Science and Education.

Within the framework of the meeting, a broad exchange of views was also held on establishing cooperation between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and expanding mutual cooperation in the field of education between the two countries.
