Turkish Defence Ministry marks Azerbaijan Independence Day

Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense has congratulated Azerbaijan on Independence Day.

Axar.az reports that the ministry shared the message on its official X account.

“On May 28, 1918, the spirit of independence rose, and today it lives on in the hearts of Turkiye and Azerbaijan,” the statement reads.

It added: “We congratulate brotherly Azerbaijan on its Independence Day and proudly salute the Azerbaijani people, an inseparable part of the noble Turkish nation.”

The ministry also honored those who died for the homeland and expressed gratitude to veterans.
