Mass blackout hits Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

More than 600,000 consumers have been left without electricity in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Oblast following Russian attacks on energy infrastructure on November 8.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrainian media, that the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, said the outages affected the Dnipro, Kamianske, Samar, Pavlohrad and Synelnykove districts.

Ukraine's energy company DTEK reported that the overnight attacks damaged critical energy facilities.

Hospitals and other critical infrastructure facilities have switched to generator power, while repair crews are working to restore electricity supplies.
